The one thing we hear time and time again is how hard it is for young bands and singers to get their recorded material out into the shops and on the radio and television. There's no shortage of great music being made but there's a bottleneck in the music business. We think the power of release and promotion should be back in the hands of the people that make the music.







Ask any follower of the music scene in Cork and they will tell you that the city has seen a resurgence in live music over the past few years. Along with this vibrant live music scene, Cork has produced more than its fair share of song writing and performing talent.

Unlabelled was recorded in Cork City, Ireland between February and March 2004 at Evolution Studio by engineer / producer Gary Goggin and, though primarily a Cork based album, Unlabelled features some of the finest song writing talents and voices in Ireland today.

The album differs from any previous compilation from the city in that all the songs on it were recorded in the same studio during the same period specifically for the album.

The album features 11 singer / songwriters, all of varying styles, hence the title 'Unlabelled'.

It is hoped that in the future Unlabelled will be looked upon as a sort of historical document to what was happening in the music scene in Cork at this time.
